The unique selling point of Mega Action was its price: it was proud to stake its claim on being the cheapest Mega Drive magazine on the market, with a launch-price of just 99p (at a time when its competitors were selling for £2.25). It soon became impossible to sell the magazine at such a low price, and after five issues the price increased to £1.75 — which still qualified it as the cheapest Mega Drive magazine on the market. Mega Action lasted for eleven issues in total.
